On Saturday night UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and top contender Chael Sonnen will settle their differences inside the Octagon. The fight, the main event of UFC 148, will let the mixed-martial-arts world know whose bark matches his bite, as both fighters engaged in some not-so-friendly banter in the days leading up to the battle.
Shortly after they settle things at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, select fighters from the card will join UFC president Dana White on the dais for the event’s post-fight press conference, which you will be able to view right here as it takes place.
In addition to the Silva-versus-Sonnen bout, which is undoubtedly the most anticipated fight of the year, UFC 148 will feature the final fight in the career of former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz.
Ortiz, who was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame earlier today, will face Forrest Griffin in what will be Ortiz’s record 27th bout with the promotion.
Ortiz and Griffin have met twice before, with each fighter taking home a split-decision victory.
In addition to the evening’s main event and co-main event, the main card will see Cung Le meeting Patrick Cote.
Cote will make his return to the promotion after being released in October 2010, while Le will look to pick up his first UFC victory. Other fights that will appear on the pay-per-view card: Dong Hyun Kim versus Demian Maia, Chad Mendes versus Cody McKenzie and Ivan Menjivar versus Mike Easton.
Please check back after the event comes to a close to watch the post-fight presser live.
