While many wrestling fans are a bit unsure of TNA’s 2012 Destination X pay-per-view, this event has all the makings of being one of the best cards of the year in any major federation.
For the fans that love the wild action of the X Division, this will be a dream come true. For those fortunate enough to support independent wrestling, this will also be the ultimate payoff of understanding what you will be watching.
TNA has a chance to bring wrestling fans something WWE does not with a high-flying division. This could be the shift that gets the casual wrestling fans to tune into IMPACT to see something unique.
If Destination X goes over great, expect a change in philosophy and more X Division action week-to-week.

What They’re Saying
TNA president Dixie Carter tweeted about the X Division and how those that lost in the preliminary matches will have one last chance:
Impressed by all the X division talents we saw. Those who didn't advance are back at ppv in last chance fourway for 8th spot in tourney.— Dixie Carter (@TNADixie) July 6, 2012
Ring Rust Radio talks about how TNA has the chance to offer the fans something WWE is not:
Undercard Match to Watch
If there is one portion of this PPV that will make it stand out to all wrestling fans, it's the X Division Championship tournament.
With six matches ultimately deciding the new X Division champion, this will be a night full of amazing in-ring storytelling and some of the greatest athletes in the sport today competing at the highest level.
As much as my gut wants to say that TNA will push Doug Williams or a veteran guy that can be the face of the division, this may be the turning of a page.
I fully expect a younger guy with less major-league experience like Rashad Cameron or Kenny King to win.
Prediction: Rashad Cameron
Main Event Prediction
In what should be a great display of both competitor’s best abilities, the Destination X main event should be the ultimate meeting of speed and skill vs. size and strength.
This is yet another homegrown match that proves TNA isn’t going anywhere but up with the sheer talent they have at the top of their roster. Roode will have his chances to be the powerhouse against the smaller Aries, but Roode is agile enough to help sell all of A-Double’s moves.
While the popular consensus is that Roode retains, this is Aries' time to shine. He is the biggest star in TNA right now and they must reward him.
If the plan is to have cowboy James Storm vs. Roode at Bound for Glory in October, he could very easily win the title in a dirty manner before then. TNA must give Aries what everyone knows he deserves.
Prediction: Austin Aries wins
