There are a few reasons behind Brad Thiessen’s decision to resign with the Pittsburgh Penguins organization in recent days. Thiessen, who spent the last three seasons with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, wasn’t happy with his performance last year, one that resulted in a goals against average of 2.82 and a .887 save percentage. He wants to re-establish himself as the player who won the Baz Bastien Award as the AHL’s top goaltender in 2010-2011.
