SPARTA, Ky.—Denny Hamlin, whose contract with Joe Gibbs Racing was set to expire after the 2013 season, has signed a multiyear extension with Joe Gibbs Racing. Hamlin announced the extension Saturday night prior to the Sprint Cup race at Kentucky Speedway. After his third place finish in the Quaker State 400 on Saturday night, Hamlin said the length of the contract for "a long time." He said he wasn't sure when FedEx would extend its deal but expects the company will do so soon.
