Nebraska Lands 61 Football Players on Big 12 Honor Roll

Big XII academic accolades were earned by over the half the team during the Fall 2008 semester. Way to get it done in the classroom, fellas! More details from NU Media Relations:

The Nebraska football program recently had 61 football players named to the 2008 Big 12 Commissioner’s Fall Academic Honor Roll. The honor roll recognizes those student-athletes who earned a 3.0 grade-point average or better during the fall semester.

The impressive total by Coach Bo Pelini’s football team was part of 324 Nebraska student-athletes who were named to the honor roll during the fall semester. Leading the way among the football honorees were eight players who had a perfect 4.0 grade-point averages during the fall semester.

Those student-athletes included Austin Cassidy (undeclared), Sean Fisher (undeclared), Aaron Gillaspie (management), Dan Glassman (biological sciences), Victory Haines (mathematics), Sam Meginnis (undeclared), Todd Peterson (nutrition, exercise and health science) and Patrick Witt (finance).
