Roger Federer's Warning to Rafael Nadal: Be Afraid

Nick NickelCorrespondent IJune 8, 2007

It's almost D Day at Roland Garros.

Roger Federer is in the finals. Rafael Nadal is poised to advance. Finally, the tennis world will get to see the truth that's been so long in coming:

Nadal's days of clay-court dominance are over.

Rafa had a nice run, sure, but Roger Federer is Roger Federer. The man is too talented, too sublime, to play second-fiddle to anyone, on any surface. He was bound to claim Nadal's crown eventually...and if the 2007 French Open is to be the site of the regicide...

So be it. Get that guillotine ready. The Ancien Regime has run its course.
