Oregon State ML over Washington State

Oregon State (10-13) (4-8)  has dropped their last three after sweeping the bay. They are back in the heavy underdog role where they thrive, especially against the spread.

Washington State (13-11) (5-7) has gone 1-4 in their last four games and can’t seem to find a rhythm. They have been successful keeping games at their pace and have been holding opponents to just under 54 points on average over the season.

The first time these two played this year was in Corvallis, Oregon. Washington State escaped in over time 51-47. The Beavers have gotten a lot better since and will look to avenge that loss on the road.

Outside of Taylor Rochestie, the Cougars can’t trust anyone to make big shots for them and that is what has continued to kill them. They had an eight point lead on USC that they blew in the fourth quarter and a six point lead on UCLA that they blew.

If Wazzu could have taken those two games they would be right in the hunt for the Pac-10 crown.

The Huskies are officially out now and can only hope for the NIT. The Beavers should catch them napping and look to senior leader Calvin Haynes to take the game over in the fourth quarter. Haynes has been a reliable scorer for the Beavers all year and is the kind of player you want when gunning for the upset.

Only this time, I’m not really sure that it would be an upset. Oregon State is a lot better then Vegas thinks they are.
