Shooting Guard Allerik Freeman: The Unlikely Duke Target

Class of 2013 shooting guard Allerik Freeman was all set to commit in mid-April after he cut his list down to Kansas and Villanova. Then, Duke, Ohio State and UCLA began showing interest and the 6'4, 195-pound Charlotte native decided to expand his list to five. Freeman, who transferred to perennial prep powerhouse Findlay Prep (NV) a month ago, averages over ten points per game for his Boo Williams (VA) AAU squad in the Nike EYBL and is a part of the back court trio that also includes point guard Anthony Barber and small forward Troy Williams which landed Boo Williams a spot in the Peach Jam, the post-season for the EYBL. He shoots 38% from three-point land and is 75% from the free-throw line.
