BCS Approves Seeded 4-Team College Football Playoff Starting in 2014 Season

The BCS Presidential Oversight Committee has officially approved a four-team playoff system.
Nicole Auerbach of USA Today reported the story via Twitter.
Official release: College football will have a four-team, seeded playoff starting in 2014-15 season.

Virginia Tech President and chair of the committee Charles W. Steger announced the news in a press conference on ESPN.
The new format will take effect for the 2014-15 season and the existing bowls will be incorporated into the new system.
