2009 NFL's Updated Mock Draft

Football Maniaxs@@FantasymaniaxsSenior Writer IFebruary 14, 2009

The effect of the Senior Bowl on the first round was a lot more about who played themselves out of it than who played themselves into it.

The players who helped themselves the most moved from day two into day one.

The quarterback position in particular became quite muddled, with Pat White and John Parker Wilson showing up their more highly rated counterparts Graham Harrell and Rhett Bomar.

After the consensus top two QBs, Matthew Stafford and Mark Sanchez, expect a lot of second and third round picks to be spent on teams willing to take a chance that they have identified the steal of the draft at this position.

This mock is still skewed somewhat towards big school prospects that we’ve all had a chance to see on TV. The combine is coming up later this month, which will cause even greater changes than the Senior Bowl.
