USC DT Fili Moala Arrested

Kyle BunchSenior Analyst IMarch 9, 2008

USC defensive tackle Fili Moala was arrested early Sunday morning following a bar-fight in Newport Beach.

According to Sgt. Evan Sailor of the Newport Beach police department, Moala was not involved in the fight whatsoever. Then why did he get arrested, you ask? For resisting and obstructing an officer.

As reported on the Orange County Register: Officers from the Newport Beach and Irvine police as well as the Orange County sheriffs department arrived and ordered everyone in the vicinity on the ground....Moala (Western High) initially cooperated...but then got up and ran into the bar.

An officer followed and arrested Moala, who is listed at 6-foot-5 and 295 pounds. There Moala harm, no foul - when he gets up and runs back into the scene of the crime.

Congratulations Moala, you made national headlines. Yes, it seems USC football players are doing their best to try and get arrested. USC is aware of the arrest, and has said they will wait and let the legal process run its course.
