Can Fabio Capello Really Reach the Quarter Finals of the 2010 World Cup?

I am going to discuss the Quarter Final credentials of England making it too that far in the world cup. Many of Cappello's tactics have been trialled and many of those have failed. He has a good crop of players to manage and with the quality he has theoretically he should make it too the Quarter Final.

After all he said this is the minimum he wanted to achieve with England. But this is England remember and nothing ever goes to plan for us. We all thought Steve McClaren was a good choice but he soon cracked under the pressure.

Although Capello has a much higher stature than McLaren did, the England national side is renowned for ruining manager's careers.

Capello has certainly impressed me with some of his tactics and his no nonsense attitude. But our performance against the European champions Spain was hardly what i was hoping for.

I really hoped he could prove himself, prove that we actually could have a chance of having a good world cup.

We always seem to be inferior to the European giants no matter what country, France, Holland, Italy and Spain. None of us have forgotten Croatia either. Things can only go up for England under Capello's management and i look forward to seeing how we do in the forthcoming matches.

Do you think he is the right man for the job? Is he capable of making us reach the Quarter Finals of the world cup?
