LSU was a quarterback away from running the table in 2011 and becoming one of the SEC’s most dominant teams in its storied history.

Gone are quarterbacks Jarrett Lee and Jordan Jefferson, and stepping in is junior college transfer Zach Mettenberger.

Mettenberger nearly won the starting quarterback job at Georgia in 2010, before being dismissed from the team for violation of team rules.
