With the NBA trade deadline fast approaching, one impact player that appears likely to be moved is dominant PF Chris Bosh. With Toronto limping into the All-Star break at 21-34 and Bosh vowing to play elsewhere in 2010, the Raptors would be wise to deal the superstar now and get something in return.
While nearly every team in the league would love to have the young and extremely gifted Bosh, his addition to the Sixers would make them serious contenders for years to come. The Raptors' asking price is obviously the problem here, as they would likely demand Thaddeus Young along with either Speights or draft picks.
If crafty GM Ed Stefanski can somehow put a package together involving Andre Iguodala, it would be a brilliant move.
Or, with Toronto's playoff chances looking slim this season, perhaps they would take Elton Brand off the Sixers hands.
Clearly I do not have the master formula for making this trade a reality. Still, when a player of Bosh's caliber is available, at the peak of his career no less, you must at the very least make a few calls to inquire about trading for him.
