If Dana White is right about one thing, it’s that you can’t truly judge a card until after the fights have been fought.
On the surface this may look like a weak PPV, but it actually has the potential to be one of the best. Ultimate Fighter finalists are on the card, and it features Fabricio Werdum’s re-entry into the UFC.
Then, of course, you have the main-event rematch of Wanderlei Silva vs. Rich Franklin, which is sure to end with fireworks, so all in all you have a solid fight card. But who is going to take home the extra money for the UFC "fight night" awards? Let’s take a look at the early leaders.
After watching the first fight between these two, it’s apparent that Silva can hurt Franklin with his right hook. He had Franklin rocked twice the first time and will probably have his shot to finish this fight again.
Silva takes it home in spectacular fashion.
If you haven’t been watching TUF Brazil, you’ve been missing out on some dynamic fighters (look no further than this image from graciemag.com for proof). Godofredo is undefeated at 8-0 and is going up against Rony Jason, who’s 10-3 in his career.
Both guys have finished every fight they’ve won, and it could go either way, but Pepey will pull off a wicked submission and win this fight.
Silva vs. Franklin
It really can go no other way. The atmosphere is going to be amazing. The fans will be cheering like crazy every time Wanderlei does something good and booing Franklin out of the building. Coupled with the fact that Silva will knock Franklin out, the crowd will go into a frenzy.
Hopefully Silva celebrated in the crowd like Jose Aldo. That’ll be another amazing moment to cap off what should be an amazing night of fights.
