Why LeBron James Is the NBA MVP

Divya ParmarSenior Analyst IMarch 9, 2008

Let me preface this by saying I agree with this and this. I am sick of all this debate of Kobe-LeBron, LeBron-Kobe, and on and on.

But I could not resist. I had to throw in my opinion.

LeBron is the MVP. There it is. I said it.

MVP means, most valuable player. I believe LeBron is the most valuable to his team.

Without him, who do the Cavs have? Wally Szczerbiak. Boobie Gibson. Ben Wallace.

You know a team is bad when Wally Szczerbiak is a key player on the team. Without LeBron, the Cavs would be bad, very bad.

LeBron carries the Cavaliers very night, even with defenders solely focused on him. He often scores 30 or more, maybe even 50 at MSG, to lead his team to victory.

Sure, he plays in the crappy Eastern Conference, but that doesn't take away from all his incredible performances.

To put icing on the cake, LeBron has great great great numbers. 30.8 points per game, 8 rebounds per game and 7.4 assists per game. LeBron has scored 25 or more points in 20 straight games.

LeBron is simply amazing, and is undoubtedly the most indispensable to his team.

LeBron James is the Most Valuable Player.
