Dave's College Basketball Picks, Feb.12: UW Green Bay at Youngstown State

dave darbySenior Analyst IFebruary 11, 2009

UW-Green Bay (19-6, 11-2) at Youngstown State (8-15, 5-8)

Line: UW Green Bay -6.5

UW-Green Bay defeated UW-Milwaukee 72-68 on Saturday to remain a game behind league leader Butler in the conference standings. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Phoenix and ninth out of their last 10 contests. Having already split their two games with Butler this season, UW-Green Bay is going to have to make up the game in the standings on the road. The Phoenix play the visitor role in five of their last six games.

Youngstown State out-scored UIC 68-60 on Saturday to win their second straight road game. The Penguins now return home to play the two games against the conferences two UW schools. Youngstown State came up 3 points short in their first match up against UW Green Bay back on January 17th.

UW Green Bay has been playing inspired ball and I expect that to continue. Youngstown State is going to give them resistance, but I expect the Phoenix to prevail and keep the heat on Butler.

Dave’s Pick: UW Green Bay -6.5
