Melky Cabrera Gets 100th Hit, Breaks Willie Mays' S.F. Giants Record

Giants left fielder Melky Cabrera doubled against C.J. Wilson to lead off the fourth inning of tonight’s game at Anaheim for his 100th hit of the season. Cabrera reached that milestone in his 291st plate appearance, breaking Willie Mays’ 54-year-old San Francisco record for achieving 100 hits in the fewest plate apperances.
