The NBA draft is an exercise in risk and reward, but the 2012 installment seems to be filled with particularly chancy prospects. Every team not selecting Anthony Davis will have their work cut out for them, as they parse through all of the usual pre-draft factors with fewer sure things and the augmented insecurity that comes along with such an interesting draft pool.

There's a lot to consider, and a lot to be concerned about. But with this particular group, which first-round prospects have red flags waving higher than most? In this sea of uncertainty, which players are unique in their frighteningly precarious standing?
