Helping the Cincinnati Bengals Get the Exposure They Deserve Means Alot To Me

Not to gloat, but I must say that I was pretty happy to check up and notice that I have become the No. 1-ranked writer for the Cincinnati Bengals here on Bleacher Report. I have long felt that the Bengals lack the positive exposure I feel they deserve, and it's an honor to be able to play a role in helping to bring some attention back to a team that needs it.

I was thinking as the offseason began, what team besides my beloved Indianapolis Colts should I try to write exciting articles for and hopefully get people more interested in?

I've long admired the Cincinnati Bengals team, and that might seem strange to some people. Why would I care about an organization that has long been branded losers of the National Football League?

It's simple—the Bengals have too much upside.

With an improving defense combined with the return of a quarterback who I feel to be one of the finest in the league, I kind of view the Bengals as a struggling version of my Colts.

Carson Palmer strikes me as a poor man's Peyton Manning (and believe, me that's a good thing), and Chad Ocho Cinco brings the entertainment that the people of Cincinnati need. The combination of the two will combine to create an exciting season of football in 2009.

So until then, I'm going to work hard to write good quality articles about this team, and hopefully all of you Bengals fans will jump on the 2009 Bengals bandwagon and show everyone in the NFL that this team will once again have the opportunity to make an impact in the sport of professional football.
