LSU and USC are two of the favorites to play for the crystal football in Miami Gardens following the 2012 season, and they are battling it out for the nation's top recruiting class in 2013.

The Tigers are in a position where they can just fill in holes left by players graduating and leaving early for the NFL, while the Trojans are in "can't miss" mode thanks to scholarship restrictions.
