NFC South Morning Jog: Kellen Winslow Said 'They Fired the Wrong Dude'

Kellen Winslow seems to be harboring some ill will toward Greg Schiano and the Buccaneers.

Each morning, I like to start the day off with a workout—usually a morning jog. I can clear my head, plan my day and think about what’s going on around the NFC South.

 

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Cornerback Aqib Talib was cleared of all charges in his felony assault with a deadly weapon case in Texas. He's apparently free to continue playing football without worry of incarceration, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Former Tampa Bay tight end Kellen Winslow appeared on The Real Rob Report and had some negative things to say about head coach Greg Schiano.

 

Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution listed five things to watch at Falcons minicamp. The Falcons will hold five minicamp sessions over three days starting Tuesday.

Erik Folk, brother to New York Jets kicker Nick Folk, was signed by the Falcons Monday, according to this Twitter announcement and multiple media reports.

 

New Orleans Saints

The NFL shared evidence from the bounty investigation with the media Monday (NFL.com).

Drew Brees shared his thoughts via Twitter on the NFL's evidence against his current and former teammates from the bounty investigation.

 

Carolina Panthers

Defensive coordinator Sean McDermott is big on team building. He hosted the Panthers defense at his home for a BBQ meal, according to the Charlotte Observer.

Linebacker Thomas Davis told Panthers.com that he plans to be ready to go by training camp. Davis is recovering from his third major knee surgery in less than two years.
