Aqib Talib's Case Dismissed, No Trial for Tampa Bay Buccaneers Corner
The case against Aqib Talib has been dismissed.
Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reported it, and JoeBucsFan.com confirmed it with the Dallas County court system.
There will be a collective sigh of relief at One Buccaneer Place from general manager Mark Dominik and head coach Greg Schiano. Talib had been set to go to trial June 25 on charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon. Talib's mother was also charged in the incident.
Per ProFootballTalk.com, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell could still consider some sort of punishment for Talib in the form of a suspension for violating the NFL's personal-conduct code.
