Sports Illustrated chose the perfect cover model for its newest Swimsuit Issue. No doubt, the Swimsuit Issue is one of the most eagerly anticipated Sports Illustrated issues of the year. I am not sure how the economy will affect the number of issues sold, but I can imagine Refaeli on the cover may draw more sales.
I first became a Refaeli fan when I heard she was tied to actor Leonardo DiCaprio. Though I wasn’t happy to hear Leo had a girlfriend, I sure wanted to know everything about her. The basics are she is 23 and from Israel…I am sure you can find out more about her in SI!
Leo as Refaeli’s arm candy is a major reason why I think sales will grow. More women will buy the issue with her on the cover. Though I couldn’t tell you if she is currently dating Leo (they are often on-again off-again), because of him, people will be curious about her.
DiCaprio was recently tied for second place as Hollywood’s Most Valuable Actor in the Forbes Star Currency List. That meant he was voted one of the most bankable actors globally due to his ability to draw a large audience and promote his projects.
Could his revenue grossing success rub off on Refaeli?
Though I have never bought a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue before, I may have to stop by my grocery store tomorrow and pick up a copy.
