Webb Simpson won his first career U.S. Open on Sunday, but the unexpected events didn't end there. 

During Bob Costas' post-tournament interview, a random fan cuts into the scene by making, what sound like, the mating calls of an exotic bird. I don't know, what do you think?

Simpson's unlikely run couldn't have come to a more fitting conclusion. He appears to take the bizarre event in stride, but Bob Costas (the most serious man in sports journalism) doesn't necessarily know what to do. 

It's a good thing the crew members on the side do. A trusty colleague interjects, yanks the fan out of the picture and saves Costas from being forced to reveal any true personality.

"Photobombing" has happened before, but this is unprecedented. I'm not sure this fan knows what he was doing, but you can rest assured he will never live this down among his cohorts. 

Simpson's incredible fourth-round performance had him in good spirits. He probably can't see Costas, doesn't really hear his questions and managed to miss this fan's antics.

The only thing on his mind is the taste of sweet victory, and that is probably a good thing. 

I hope this random gentleman enjoyed his moment in the spotlight. I know we, and viral amounts of YouTube viewers, will.
