Radek Faksa is great talent who has the impressive combination of physical size and top-end offensive talent. He scored 29 goals with 37 assists this season for the Kitchener Rangers and was a consistent player throughout the year. Faksa has strong shot power, but he needs to be a bit more accurate to score at the same rate in the NHL that he has in the OHL.

One part of his game that separates him from the other top forwards is his defense. He hits hard, is well-positioned in his own zone and understands the importance of putting his defense over his offense when the situation requires it. Since he can be relied on to not make mistakes late in games in the defensive end, Faksa should receive a good amount of playing time when he arrives to the NHL.

If Faksa can continue to improve his offensive skills, he will be a great NHL power forward for a long time. Being as effective on the ice as Boston Bruins winger Milan Lucic should be what Faksa strives to be at the next level.

Expect Faksa to make the NHL roster next season, because he is more polished defensively than many of the top forward prospects in this draft class.
