The Philadelphia 76ers (26-24) manhandled the Phoenix Suns (28-22). The Sixers played great all game and it started in the first quarter. Thaddeus Young scored 14 first quarter points and that got the Sixers off to a good start. Thaddeus finished with 25 points and 5 rebounds. He is really evolving into a superstar for this team. Marreese Speights had a career high 24 points and 7 boards, as he made dunk after dunk, and jump shot after jump shot. He was everywhere last night, coming off the bench and providing great energy. In Elton Brand's absence for the season, Marreese has to play big this season. Speights had ten straight points in the second quarter. Andre Iguodala scored 22 points. Sam Dalembert has been a rebound machine, he grabbed 11 boards. Lou Williams was solid off the bench adding 11 points. The Sixers had three players score 20 or more points. The Suns look and played distracted. Amare Stoudemire has been in all the trade rumors lately. He had 19 points. The Suns didn't look into the game at all. Shaq had 7 points and 10 rebounds. Jason Richardson had 16 points. Steve Nash only had 2 points in limited action. Terry Porter rested his players most of the second half, as the game was widely out of reach.

Elton Brand had successful surgery on his shoulder monday. He is sidelined for the season.
