Besiktas and Fenerbahce had a chance to catch up to Galatasaray this past weekend, but failed to do so.

Besiktas settled for only one point while Fenerbahce lost their match against Istanbul Buyuksehir.

Besiktas was held to a goalless draw at the hands of Giray Bulak's Konyaspor. Fabian Ernstbrought, whom Besiktas signed from Werder Bremen last week, played in this match too.

Fenerbahce could not beat nor score a goal on 10-man Istanbul Buyuksehir side. Instead, Istanbul B.B. scored two goals on Fenerbahce.

The wind, cold weather, and empty stands in the Ataturk Olympic stadium was a hole in the ground for Fenerbahce. They had neither the desire nor the power to win this match.

A golden opportunity again was wasted for Fenerbahce.

While Sivaspor and Trabzonspor are going full speed, Istanbul's big three are slipping.

In other matches on Sunday, Antalyaspor beat Denizlispor 2-1, Gaziantepspor beat Ankaraspor at home with two goals, and Bursaspor won on the road against Genclerbirligi, 2-1.
