Before I sign off, I must thank all of you for following along and offer one final piece of my mind.
What the Boston Celtics built will never be duplicated. This was not your average pairing of stars and egos. Instead, the Celtics' Big Three consisted of a trio of selfless players who came together with one common goal in mind: win an NBA Championship.
In 2008, the Celtics accomplished that goal.
Since then, the Celtics have personified class as an organization. Each individual member of the Big Three has made history in their own way, from breaking records to bringing along young talent. They've also developed one of the game's premier point guards, Rajon Rondo.
We may see some Big Threes that come along and wow us. There may be another Big Three who takes home the NBA Championship.
Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen will go down in history as the Big Three. Congratulations on five years of basketball beauty.
Thank you, KG, Truth and "Jesus." Your pairing will be missed but never forgotten.
This game was decided by the forgotten.
Chris Bosh was phenomenal from everywhere on the floor. Shane Battier was unbelievable from distance. Mario Chalmers adapted to the game in ways you cannot describe. LeBron James and Dwyane Wade closed out as one could only ask them to do.
The best team performance the Miami Heat have ever had.

Game over, folks. What a game it was. What a run from the Boston Celtics.
Prepare for the Heat to battle the Thunder.
End of the Game: Boston Celtics 88 - 101 Miami Heat
You have to love the respect shown between the Celtics and Heat. Aside from Rajon Rondo, who went to the locker room before the final buzzer.
Class from the Miami Heat. Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett hit the bench and the fans give them a standing ovation.
Unbelievable half-decade from the best Big Three this generation has known. Torches must be passed, though.
Fourth Quarter, 28.3 remaining: Boston Celtics 88 - Miami Heat 100
Rajon Rondo knocks down a long two and the Celtics have the slightest sign of life.
Fourth Quarter, 39.6 remaining: Boston Celtics 88 - 99 Miami Heat
This was an absolutely phenomenal game through three quarters. The first quarter has belonged to the Miami Heat's defense, though. What a performance by Erik Spoelstra's squad.

Rajon Rondo misses the three and the Boston Celtics can't make a thing. It was a phenomenal run by the Big Four of Boston, but it has come to a close tonight. Quite a shame that it ended like this.
Fourth Quarter, 2:19 remaining: Boston Celtics 86 - 98 Miami Heat
Rajon Rondo with yet another poor decision. The Miami Heat are capitalizing on the opportunities they are being given and Dwyane Wade caps it off with his 1,000,001st circus shot of his career.
Thanks for coming, Boston. Can't wait for Heat-Thunder.
Fourth Quarter, 2:53 remaining: Boston Celtics 86 - 98 Miami Heat

Chris Bosh is the MVP of this game. 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting. Kevin Garnett has had no answer, which we never thought we'd here.
And we see Rajon Rondo attempt an Alley-Oop? At this point in the game? The Boston Celtics have fallen apart and the Heat are going to go to the finals, folks. This is embarrassing for the Celtics and empowering for the Heat.
Fourth Quarter, 3:23 remaining: Boston Celtics 86 - 95 Miami Heat
Dwyane Wade has tipped out FOUR rebounds in a row. FOUR! Doc Rivers is livid and rightfully so. D-Wade is out-hustling the entire Celtics defense and it's the difference in this fourth quarter.
Fourth Quarter, 4:14 remaining: Boston Celtics 86 - 91 Miami Heat
Rajon Rondo just out-hustled LeBron James and puts in two, so maybe the Celtics have life after all.
That's a tripel-double for Rondo now after that rebound. Doesn't matter, as he misses the lay-in by going for the foul.
Fourth Quarter, 4:30 remaining: Boston Celtics 86 - 91 Miami Heat
The Boston Celtics just can't get anything to fall on offense and that can be accredited to the insurmountable athleticism that the Heat have on defense. Rajon Rondo hesitating to take the jump shot and it's really hurting the Celtics here.
This crowd is going wild. Brandon Bass hits a jump shot for a small response. And LeBron James hits a three-pointer from the inner-cities of downtown. Ray Allen misses a comeback 3..
This game is becoming lopsided.

For those interested, the New Jersey Devils just won a heart-racing affair with the Los Angeles Kings and the unthinkable is close to being done. Game 6 will occur as the series is set at 3-2.
As for the game that matters most, Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat are pouring it on the Celtics on both ends of the floor. Outstanding fourth quarter performance by the ailing Chris Bosh.
Fourth Quarter, 6:50 remaining: Boston Celtics 82 - 88 Miami Heat

LeBron James drives to the lane and throws down a signature dunk. That was beautiful and the fans are on their feet.
How will the Celtics react? They start by turning the ball over. Is this the beginning of the end for Boston?
Fourth Quarter, 7:58 remaining: Boston Celtics 82 - 83 Miami Heat

This is what the presence of veterans what a championship pedigree will do. Ray Allen with a huge three-pointer to counter LeBron James' And-One. What a game from both teams.
Fourth Quarter, 8:26 remaining: Boston Celtics 82 - 81 Miami Heat
Paul Pierce and Dwyane Wade trade beauties, with D-Wade throwing it home and The Truth going up and under. Rondo slows it down but Doc Rivers is screaming at him to push the tempo.
Rivers proves to be correct as Boston fails to convert.
LeBron with an And-One. If you're going to foul the guy, wrap him up. He's unstoppable if you don't.
That was an unbelievable finish. Hit in the head from both ends. LeBron James deserves respect for that.
Fourth Quarter, 9:07 remaining: Boston Celtics 79 - 81 Miami Heat

Rajon Rondo opens the fourth quarter with another one of his signature wrong-foot layups. This man is absolutely ridiculous as a ball-handler and around the basket finisher.
Wow. Even more of a wow to Chris Bosh for hitting his second three-pointer of the game.
Fourth Quarter, 11:20 remaining: Boston Celtics 77 - 76

This is what we all wanted. A tie game entering the fourth quarter.
Time for someone to make a name for themselves.
End of the Third Quarter: Boston Celtics 73 - 73 Miami Heat
Boston Celtics Team Leaders
Points: 17 - Paul Pierce
Rebounds: 8 - Rajon Rondo
Assists: 12 - Rajon Rondo

Miami Heat Team Leaders
Points: 20 - LeBron James
Rebounds: 9 - LeBron James

Steals: 3- Shane Battier

Rajon Rondo from three. 10 points in the period for Rondo and 16 for the game.
What a performance by the best point guard in the NBA.
Rajon Rondo has a double-double and is creeping up on another triple-double. 13 points, 12 assists and 8 rebounds after yet another jump shot.
Dwyane Wade's body language and defense has been so uncharacteristic. Very disappointing.
Third Quarter, 1:05 remaining: Boston Celtics 70 - 70 Miami Heat

Dwyane Wade, you're one of my favorite players in the NBA but I have to offer you some advice...
Rather than standing back there and arguing with the ref, get back on defense. It's a two-way sport.
J. Meric/Getty Images
LeBron James with a beautiful move in the paint, thus tacking on two points to give him 19 points and 9 rebounds. That's been the difference in the third quarter, as Miami is getting close shots to fall and Boston is settling for long-range jump shots.
Third Quarter, 3:50 remaining: Boston Celtics 66 - 65 Miami Heat
