When two athletes get together, there's a pretty decent chance that their children are going to blessed with some exceptional athletic gifts. Obviously this isn't an exact science, but it's still a pretty reliable guesstimation.
Who knows what's what or what's not. I'll admit that I only did okay in high school and college science genetics, but I'm still pretty sure of one thing: If one elite athlete procreates without another elite athlete, the potential to create an even more elite athlete exists.
Let's take a look at 15 Sports Couples Who Will Make the Most Athletic Babies.
15. Tony Romo & Candice Crawford
Michael Buckner/Getty Images
His Cred: Say what you will about Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, but he's been one of the best statistically performing players at his position over the last several years.
Her Cred: She's very pretty and clearly rather fit.
Offspring Cred: If their baby boy gets his physical prowess and her stunning good looks, that little monster will be unstoppable.
14. Laird Hamilton & Gabrielle Reece
Kevin Winter/Getty Images
His Cred: Laird Hamilton is a big-wave surfer and the "co-inventor" of something called "tow-in-surfing." He's also a part-time model with no measurable (medals) achievements to his name.
Her Cred: Gabby Reece pretty much owned the '90s and pretty much invented the idea of the athlete/model for all the ladies out there today. She never won any major international accolades, but she's considered a household name today.
Offspring Cred: Hard to tell. A child of this couple could probably have some serious success in athletics, but they might just take the easy way out with modeling.
13. Heather Mitts & A.J. Feeley
Robin Marchant/Getty Images
His Cred: None. Dude was a career backup who has made the NFL a better place by retiring. It's mean, but true. Sorry dude.
Her Cred: Heather Mitts is a smokin' hot American soccer player who currently plays for the Atlanta Beat but is also a member of the U.S. women's national team. Mitts is a two-time Olympic gold medalist with the American women's team.
Offspring Cred: Pretty legit. Even a backup quarterback has some serious talent, and Mitts is one of the best in the world.
12. Sasha Vujacic & Maria Sharapova

His Cred: Sasha Vujacic is a professional basketball player who had a shockingly unmemorable, yet rather lengthy career in the NBA. Today he's playing overseas for Anadolu Efes in Turkey.
Her Cred: Maria Sharapova is a Russian tennis player and one of the most recognizable female athletes in the world. She's achieved the No. 1 ranking in her sport and won a number of Grand Slams. Oh, and she's only 25.
Offspring Cred: These two are due to be married later this year, and their offspring has a pretty decent chance of taking over the entire world.
11. Malia Jones & Luke Stedman

His Cred: The best thing that surfer Luke Stedman has ever done in is his career was convincing Malia Jones to have unprotected sex with him. Good job dude.
Her Cred: Malia Jones is a professional surfer and model and is generally regarded as one of the most beautiful women in all of sports.
Offspring Cred: Hard to tell. Neither of them are at the top of their sport, but you never know what kind of results this could yield.
10. Bridget Moynahan & Tom Brady

His Cred: The Patriots quarterback is the single most successful quarterback of a generation. Like it or not…and we all know that most of us hate it.
Her Cred: Briget Moynahan is one of Tommy Terrific's baby mamas, and to me she looks like the more athletic one.
Offspring Cred: I just get the sense that their little boy is going to have a lot of motivation to outdo his papa…maybe I'm wrong…but I'm probably not.
9. Alex Rodriguez & Torrie Wilson

His Cred: Alex Rodriguez has been the Yankees' most high profile slugger for years. He's not well liked, he's dealt with steroid issues and he has a habit of coming up small in October. That being said, he's a great athlete.
Her Cred: Torrie Wilson is a retired wrestler, best known for her time with the WWE—both on SmackDown and Raw.
Offspring Cred: They've both got the skills to pay the bills, sports wise. Personally, I think they'd produce some pretty formidable athletes.
8. Misty-May Treanor & Matt Treanor
Eliot J. Schechter/Getty Images
His Cred: Matt Treanor is a catcher for the L.A. Dodgers who has been doing his thing in MLB since starting out with the Marlins in 2004.
Her Cred: Misty May is one of the most recognizable American female athletes in the Summer Olympics. She and Kerri Walsh have combined for over a dozen gold medals in international competition.
Offspring Cred: The sky is the limit with these kids.
7. Obadele Thompson & Marion Jones

His Cred: Barbados born Obadele Thompson is a sprint athlete and an Olympic bronze medalist in track and field.
Her Cred: Marion Jones was once considered one of the greatest American female athletes who ever lived. And then there was the steroids stuff…which was ugly…let's just not get into the ugly details.
Offspring Cred: If their kids can stay off the athletic enhancement sauce, they can still be a dominant force.
6. Mia Hamm & Nomar Garciaparra
Robert Laberge/Getty Images
His Cred: Nomar Garciaparra is a retired baseball player whose most memorable stint in the major leagues came with the Red Sox from 1996 through 2004.
Her Cred: Mia Hamm is (maybe?) the greatest female soccer player of all time. Hamm has scored more international goals in her career than any other player (either male or female) and has racked up countless medals in international competition—including Olympic gold, World Cup championships, and four collegiate championships at UNC.
Offspring Cred: There are few athletes on this planet with more cred than Mia Hamm. Even if she procreated with Ryan Leaf, that kid would be a born winner.
5. Casey Daigle & Jennie Finch
Alexandra Wyman/Getty Images
His Cred: Casey Dagile is a career minor league pitcher who (and I'm very sorry to be rude here) pretty much stinks. He's 31 years old and hasn't played a serious day in the majors—time to look for new work dude.
Her Cred: Jennie Finch is a two-time Olympic medalist (one gold, one silver) of the U.S. women's softball team. Not to mention one of our most beautiful and talented Olympians in recent memory.
Offspring Cred: If he or she gets his or her mother's genes, he or she is all set.
4. Laila Ali & Curtis Conway
Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images
His Cred: Curtis Conway is a retired NFL wide receiver who never did a damn thing in the league. No offense though…at least he made it to the NFL.
Her Cred: Laila Ali is a retired boxer whose name you just might recognize. Ever hear of a pretty awesome dude by the name of Muhammad Ali? Well she's his daughter. 'Nuff said.
Offspring Cred: When the genes of Muhammad Ali are involved, the sky's the limit.
3. Aaron Ross & Sanya Richards
Ian Walton/Getty Images
His Cred: Aaron Ross is an NFL cornerback who played college ball at Texas and currently plays for the Jaguars. That sounds less impressive until you realize he is a two-time Super Bowl champion with the Giants who cashed in on his success big time with the Jags.
Her Cred: Jamaica born Sanya Rihcards-Ross is an American track and field athlete who is a two-time Olympic medalist and has racked up seven gold medals in international competition.
Offspring Cred: Watch your back nerds, their kids are coming for you.
2. Andre Agassi & Steffi Graf
Getty Images/Getty Images
His Cred: Um, does Andre Agassi even need any introduction? Agassi is an Olympic gold medalist and a winner of 10 Grand Slams. He just ruled your ass in the '90s.
Her Cred: Steffi Graf is a two-time Olympic gold medalist for West Germany (the good one). She also netted a silver for the unified Germany at Barcelona in 1992.
Offspring Cred: They better force their kids to play tennis…for AMERICA.
1. Shelden Williams & Candace Parker

His Cred: Sheldon Williams seems like a nice kid who once played for the storied Duke Blue Devils. He's done less since then, but he's still got a job working for the Nets and hanging out with Jay-Z and Beyonce. Which sounds pretty baller in its own right.
Her Cred: Candace Parker is a WNBA player who is best known as the first woman to ever dunk in an NCCA tournament game and the first woman to dunk twice in a college game.
Offspring Cred: These two already have a baby girl, who will obviously be a star. If they ever have a boy, you better watch your back Michael Jordan.
