USC Has Lost One Crown and Added Another With Lisa Horne's Departure
With the departure of Lisa Horne from Bleacher Report, the top current writer is no longer a USC fan. Lisa now bears the title of “Top Former Writer for Bleacher Report,” one that she will hold for a longer time than the first, due to her prolific writing. It is a testament to her and the USC family as a whole.
The sad thing is that most of the SC fan base will never hear of either accolade.
This change is a testament to the passage of time. We as fans know so well of how short the careers of athletes are, but others will take their place; it is inevitable. The new leaders will become known for their deeds.
So if Lisa sees this, I will propose this: that BR starts a hall of heroes and continues to keep the statistics. Lisa, every year on the anniversary on your departure, have the champagne waiting and pop the cork on the retention of your new title, much in the fashion of Mercury Morris and the Dolphins.
Finally, here is a toast to passion and hard work, and the accolades they bring.
