Les Miles and LSU are looking to rebound in 2012, and they certainly have a talented crew capable of doing just that.

They went 1-1 against the Tide this past season, but their lone blemish came on the biggest stage with the most on the line.

Both teams lost quite a bit of talent in this past NFL Draft, although LSU appears to have solved their quarterback issue.

Zach Mettenberger had a brilliant spring, and his presence alone could drastically overhaul the LSU offense.

If Les Miles wants to log another regular season win against Alabama, he will allow Mettenberger to let it sail. The thought of the big play alone could be enough to put the defense on their toes, which could help the running game out greatly.

As for slowing down the Alabama offense?

Getting pressure on A.J. McCarron would be a great start. Not the easiest thing to do, considering Alabama’s talented offensive line.

But, LSU certainly has capable defensive ends.

Finally, we can’t forget about special teams.

We know the role this played last year, especially in the first game. It will no doubt have an impact once again.
