Chris "Birdman" Is Just So Distracting
This is your brain on drugs:
I haven't paid a whole lot of attention to Chris "Birdman" Andersen since he flopped hard in the Dunk Competition a few years ago. I know he got suspended for drugs, but I was not aware that he now plays for the Nuggets. Well, the Nets played Denver tonight, and I got my first glimpse of Birdman in a while.
Birdman is my anti-drug. Seriously, if you want to inspire children to stay clean, show them an image of this guy. It's not a pleasant sight.
Apparently, he has become one of the league's top shot-blockers. He did have a very sparkly block this evening, although it wasn't even close to enough. The Nets destroyed the Nuggets 114 - 70. By the time the second half rolled around, the Nuggets didn't even look like they were trying. It was a weak, weak show, and the Nets continue to screw themselves out of a lottery pick.
Oh, and Kenyon Martin is wearing No. 4. He had been No. 6 at one point. When did this happen?
