The Brooklyn Nets' new look has arrived. They are not too bad at all. The jerseys are still to come, but so far, the logo looks like the uniforms will look decent, at the least.
In honor of the Nets awaited team uniforms, we will take a look at the 10 best team uniforms of all-time. This was a tough list to create, but maybe your team's uni might make the list.
To start off the list is the Toronto Raptors' first uniform—the road uniforms, specifically. How can you not appreciate the raptor on the front?
Plus, the raptors had young, exciting players at the time to wear them such as Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady. Everything from the colors to the writing on the jersey makes this a good uniform. Unfortunately, the raptors did away with these uniforms in the 1999-2000 season.
Hopefully, the current Raptor team can honor this great uniform by wearing it one game as a throwback.
The Arizona Diamondbacks are the first baseball uniform to make the list. The cream-colored, purple pinstripe uniforms were worn from 2001-2006.
This picture shows the home uniform. The road uniform had a different logo, but nonetheless, both home and road were creative. The logo on the hat is what tops off the uniform and makes it worthy of being an all-time great.
The next team to make the cut is the team with the box office hit movie, the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. Well, these are not the jerseys from the movie, but they were worn from 1995-2006.
The duck logo is classic in itself. The home uniforms were decent, but the road uniforms are the ones that make it an all-time great for me. The white and turquoise are a great combination.
Since these uniforms, the Ducks have switched the colors and unfortunately gotten rid of the classic Mighty Duck logo. Quite a shame, because these uniforms were definitely unique and had a strong pop culture existence.
The legendary silver and black had to be part of the best team uniforms. The Oakland Raiders have worn these uniforms since their days back in Los Angeles.
There is nothing flashy or creative about the uniforms at all, but what makes it a classic is the tradition. The one-eyed pirate on the helmet and the terrorizing colors of black and silver are the Raiders' trademark.
The Memphis Grizzlies had some mean uniforms back in their Vancouver days. The picture above is of the road uniforms the Vancouver Grizzlies wore before they relocated to Memphis.
Vancouver was home to the Grizzlies from 1995 until 2001. They sported these road uniforms until the 2000 season. Vancouver was a disappointing franchise, but their uniforms certainly were not.
One of the first uniforms of the 2000s decade to become modernized, the Atlanta Falcons debuted this new look in the 2003 season as the home uniform.
The all-black uniforms gave the team a sleek look. The red and white stripes on the sleeve gave the uniforms an edge. The Falcons now wear the red version of these jerseys as the home uniform. But, we must never forget the original and originator of the modern NFL uniform look.
Toronto has another team on the list. The Toronto Blue Jays' powder blue and white uniforms are a must when discussing classic sport unis.
The city of Toronto sure knows how to dress their sports teams. The Blue Jays sported these flashy jerseys from 1981-1988. During that time, they were not a franchise that won on a consistent basis. But hey, at least their uniforms looked good.
The Shaquille O'Neal-era Orlando Magic uniform was a good look. The Magic wore these uniforms from 1989 until the 1993-1994 season.
The black base jersey with white pinstripes made this one of the smoothest uniforms ever. The star that was in place of the "A" in Orlando also made the jersey unique. The uniform might have also been magical for them.
The Magic managed to become one of the top Eastern Conference teams in the mid-90's after being an expansion team in '89. These uniforms made them look cooler while they were winning.
The Oregon Ducks football team uniforms in general have to be mentioned. They have been fortunate that CEO of Nike, Phil Knight, is an alum. Knight has provided his alma mater with the finest of gear in recent years.
In the 2010-2011 season, the Ducks wore a different uniform combination in every game. In the BCS National Championship, Nike made sure the Ducks looked their best. From the "carbon" helmets to the neon green/yellow socks, the Ducks looked sharp.
Topping the list are the "Powder Blues." The San Diego Chargers bring them out once a year, and they still look good every single time.
The Chargers have been using them as an alternate uniform since 2007. The look is inspired from the jerseys they wore in the 1970s. The Chargers even give you the combination of the powder blue end zone to compliment the uniforms.
