Who Are the Best NFL Free Agents Still Available?

NFL Draft 365Official AccountJune 23, 2016

The 2012 NFL free-agency season peaked long ago. We had several exciting signings in that time, chief among them Peyton Manning to the Denver Broncos and Randy Moss to the San Francisco 49ers.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers came out as a huge winner by signing the likes of Vincent Jackson, Carl Nicks and Eric Wright. The Bills even raised some eyebrows by adding Mario Williams, probably the most coveted defensive free agent of the entire class.

But now is the time of year when there are relatively slim pickings on the market, though some big names are still floating around.

Whose career will get a shot in the arm and whose is in jeopardy of ending?

There are some interesting wide receiver names such as Braylon Edwards, Plaxico Burress and Terrell Owens, but this could be the end of the line for any of these vets.

Edwards name has been most closely linked to the Cincinnati Bengals, a team that could use some experience on their young and exciting receiving corps.

Burress is interested in a tryout with the Miami Dolphins (among several other teams). Unfortunately, the feeling is not mutual. That feeling may be widespread throughout the NFL.

Owens most recently made headlines by firing his agent, as he attempts an NFL comeback.

Who are some other players that are possibly looking to resurrect their careers?
