Funniest Moments in Sports: Mike Tyson and the Absurdity of Violent Humor

Take a good long look into the eyes of one of the most disgusting human beings to ever step foot into a boxing ring. At the same time, your looking into the eyes of one of the most gifted fighters of all time. The controversial line between detestation and appreciation can often be a confusing one in regards to Mike Tyson.

I could go on and on with my thoughts regarding both Mike Tyson "the fighter" and Mike Tyson "the person" and that would bring us to nothing more then one man's personal opinions regarding sport's most controversial figure.

Rather, my intent is to cover the more jocular aspects of Mike Tyson's absurdity.

Few could argue with Tyson's ability to promote a fight but one has to wonder how much of his actions were to enhance the hype and how many of his actions were actual outbursts of the man's uncontrollable anger.

I'll get right down to the point: I find Mike Tyson to be quite the humorous individual.

If you type "Funny Mike Tyson" on YouTube, you will see exactly what I'm talking about. I refuse, however, to post a link from Bleacher Report to such a video as I'm fairly certain the content of Tyson's verbal communication would be frowned upon by most people with a sense of morality.

I'm not justifying Tyson's actions in any way shape or form, but he has given us countless soundbites that leave half of the people shocked and the other half collapsing in laughter.

Maybe it's only me, but if you take some of your own personal time to look at the soundbites I'm talking about, you just might find yourself reluctantly agreeing with me.
