Recently, I took a trip to North Carolina to visit the race shops. It was the most amazing experience of my life. On our last day down there we went to Michael Waltrip's shop, coincidentally called Race World USA. It was a fans ultimate experience.
The first thing I noticed was the fact that they had an actual Napa Auto parts store right in the front. Talk about liking your sponsor. He, of course, had a souvenir store filled with memorabilia for him and his drivers.
The downstairs was filled with flat screen tv's telling you everything you need to know about NASCAR, and his team. There was a raised cat walk where you could see the crew work on the cars. He also showed each room with the suspension, gears and transmissions, and many others. There was a movie theater telling what its like being in Nascar.
The final, and probably the greatest thing ever, was a ticket to walk around the shop. The actual shop where they work on the fabrication of the cars. It was a very lucky chance to see what all racing fans die to see.
If you would like more information about this, please let me know. It is located in Cornelius NC. I just wanted to give you a brief idea on what it has to offer.
