By now, everybody knows about Randy Orton being suspended for 60 days. The announcement was made a few days ago, and many had differing thoughts on the situation.

According to a new report, WWE had a few days in advance to know what was about to happen. The story notes that John Cena was added to some Smackdown shows in the live event listing because the company knew of Orton's upcoming suspension.

Of course, it is also noted that Randy was made to look very strong on Raw Monday night.

My Thoughts on This News

I have yet to comment on Orton being out for 60 days. Honestly, there really is not much to say. His past has been well discussed over the years.

Also, it had been plainly seen on WWE television for the past six months that his role had been decreased. From being "injured" a month, thanks to Wade Barrett, to receiving a "concussion" by Daniel Bryan, there have been many time periods without Orton.

Plenty of conspiracy theorists have speculated on all of his recent time off.

His feud with Kane did not do much.

He was just thrown into the recent World Title feud, and looked to be facing Dolph Ziggler in the near future with Chris Jericho out. Again, him being gone is not as big a deal as some will say.

If he was World Champ, his departure would mean something. If he was in a major feud, this would mean something. He was not involved in much, thus this is not a crippling blow to any story line.

As for WWE knowing about his suspension, I am sure they did.

Just like R-Truth last November, it was clear something was going on during story lines. After that was finished up, he began his suspension.

John Cena being added to Smackdown shows should help the Blue Brand for awhile. I can't connect the dots to Mr. RKO being suspended because that move was needed even before then.

As usual, this entire mess does have one major flaw.

Orton looked to be very dominant on Raw. If he was being sent home for the next two months, that would not make much sense. Big Show could have easily knocked him out, not Brodus Clay.

Either way, it is the normal "online report." You can believe some of it, while shaking your head at the rest of the ridiculous notes. Believe what you want folks!

I will simply look forward to the next few months to see who steps up. By August, Wade Barrett, Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, Triple H and Brock Lesnar will all be back...
