EPL Preview: Chelsea vs. Hull City, Stamford Bridge, London, Saturday, 7 February, 15:00GMT.
This Saturday, Scollari's Blues will pit their wits against the Tigers of Hull City. In the last meeting between the two teams Chelsea sat top of the Premiership and Hull City were third on the same points as the Blues. Chelsea beat Hull City 3-0 at the Kingston Communication Stadium with a sublime goal from Frank Lampard.
Things can change very quick in football and since that meeting, Chelsea's form has dipped and sees them in third place on 48-points, behind both Liverpool and Manchester United.
Hull City have also been very poor of late collecting only eight more points since that meeting. Currently Hull City would be classed as the third worst team in the Premiership on form but will be hoping that they can turn around their season after gaining a point against West Brom last week.
Hull are quite seriously depleted due to injuries and suspensions. Long term injuries still sideline Nick Barmby and Anthony Gardner. Daniel Cousin and Jimmy Bullard and Hull's record signing are also out with meniscal tears. The influencial Bernard Mendy is also missing for Saturday's fixture due to suspension.
The London outfit will be without the services of their goalkeeper, Peter Cech and defender Richardo Carvalho. Long term injuries still prevent Joe Cole and Michael Essien from pulling on their team jerseys but this will give Ricardo Quaresma the chance to make his first team debut.
