Red River Deliciousness: The Best College Football Wedding Cake Ever Made

The Red River Rivalry is one of college football’s most storied yearly traditions. For Clayon Kelley and Lydia Crawford, this rivalry means much, much more.
Clayton (an Oklahoma fan) proposed to Lydia (a Texas fan) following last year’s 55-17 Sooner shellacking at the 50-yard line of the Cotton Bowl. Despite the loss from her Longhorns, she said yes and the two got married last weekend.
An offseason wedding, of course.
Although the two will never agree on their teams o’ choice, they embraced their football ways of a cake of magnificent proportions. No, really. This cake belongs in an edible college football museum if there is such a thing. If there’s not, there should be.
Red and orange cake balls replaced the traditional wedding cake, and they were placed in a stadium-like arrangement. The two has their photo placed on the replica video board which had similar advertisements to the actual stadium. You can see a larger picture of the wonderful cake here.
College football, food, an open bar and love—I mean, what else do you need?
