2012 USL PRO Power Rankings: Week 8

Orlando City, the most consistent team in the third tier of American soccer, remain on top in our USL PRO Power Rankings.

Meanwhile, the Harrisburg City Islanders are quietly making their move towards the top, while Rochester are on the way down. Let's take a look at this week's USL PRO Power Rankings.

1. Orlando City

Adrian Heath's Orlando City began the weekend with a 1-1 draw to the Los Angeles Blues. Wes Allen scored in the 22nd minute for the Lions. Orlando then bounced back to defeat the Charlotte Eagles 2-1 at the Florida Citrus Bowl. Jamie Watson scored in the 14th minute and Matt Luzunaris recorded the game-winner in the 53rd minute of play.

Up next for Orlando City is a match with the Wilmington Hammerheads. Kickoff at Legion Stadium in Wilmington, Del. is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.

2. Harrisburg City Islanders

Bill Becher's Harrisburg City Islanders won their only game for this past week, a 1-0 victory over the Rochester Rhinos at the Skyline Sports Complex in Harrisburg, Pa. Morgan Langley scored the lone goal for the City Islanders in the 48th minute of play.

Harrisburg's next match is on Jun. 1 against the Richmond Kickers. Kickoff at Skyline is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

3. Richmond Kickers

Orlando City Soccer: Luke Boden + John Rooney.

Leigh Cowlishaw's Richmond Kickers flattened the Wilmington Hammerheads, 3-1. Christopher Agonsor scored a brace in second-half stoppage time. David Bulow also scored for Richmond off a penalty in the 69th minute.

The Kickers have two matches to deal with this weekend. On Jun. 1, they take on the Harrisburg City Islanders at the Skyline Sports Complex. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

On Jun. 2, the Kickers face the Rochester Rhinos at Sahlen's Stadium in Rochester, N.Y. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET.

4. Charleston Battery

Michael Anheuser's Charleston Battery eked out a 1-0 win over the Los Angeles Blues. Colin Falvey scored in the 13th minute for Charleston.

Two matches are on tap this week for the Battery. On May 31, Charleston take on the Pittsburgh Riverhounds at Chartiers Valley High School. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

On Jun. 2, the Battery face the Dayton Dutch Lions at Miami Valley South Stadium in Bellbrook, Ohio. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.

5. Los Angeles Blues

Charlie Naimo's Los Angeles Blues held Orlando City to a 1-1 draw at the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla. Bright Dike equalized for the Blues in the 25th minute on Thursday. However, the Blues were shut out by the Charleston Battery 1-0 on Saturday.

Los Angeles's next match is on Jun. 15 against the Dayton Dutch Lions at Titan Stadium on the campus of California State University, Fullerton in Fullerton, Calif. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. PT/10:30 p.m. ET.

6. Rochester Rhinos

Jesse Myers's Rochester Rhinos were shut out by the Harrisburg City Islanders 1-0 on Friday but did salvage a 2-2 draw with the Dayton Dutch Lions. Graciano Brito scored in the 52nd minute and Thomas "Tam" McManus scored in the 90th minute to salvage the draw for the Rhinos.

Up next for Rochester is a Jun. 2 match with the Richmond Kickers. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET at Sahlen's Stadium.

7. Charlotte Eagles

Mark Steffens's Charlotte Eagles dropped a 2-1 defeat to Orlando City in the 79th minute. Christian Meza scored in the 79th minute for Charlotte.

Charlotte's next match is on Jun. 9 against the Richmond Kickers at City Stadium in Richmond, Va. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

8. Wilmington Hammerheads

David Irving's Wilmington Hammerheads were crushed by the Richmond Kickers 3-1 at City Stadium. Andriy Budnyy scored in the 18th minute for the Hammers.

Wilmington's next match is on Jun. 2 against Orlando City. Kickoff at Legion Stadium is scheduled for 7;30 p.m. ET.

9. Dayton Dutch Lions

Ivan van Dinteren's Dayton Dutch Lions drew 2-2 with the Rochester Rhinos this past weekend. Eli Gardner scored in the 34th minute while Mettin Copier recorded a second in the 64th minute of play.

Dayton's next contest is on Jun. 2 against the Charleston Battery. Kickoff at Miami Valley South Stadium in Bellbrook is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.

10. Pittsburgh Riverhounds

Justin Evans's Pittsburgh Riverhounds were off this past week.

Up next for the Hounds is a match with the Charleston Battery on May 31 at Chartiers Valley High School. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

11. Antigua Barracuda

Tom Curtis's Antigua Barracuda FC were off this past week.

The Barracudas' next contest is a June 15 meeting with the Charleston Battery at Blackbaud Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.
