I am having a moral dilemma.
I have set aside some funds to purchase tickets for the upcoming baseball season, but in these hard economic times, I am faced with the decision of buying tickets to the games I want to see or buying tickets to games that I know will be hot sellers come summertime.
A good friend of mine got an amazing number in the single ticket sales lottery last year allowing her to buy the maximum amount of tickets for all the good games.
She bought about $4000 worth of tickets!
Her intention was to take all her friends to games throughout the year and sell some if she was unable to go to the game. Well, about the third week of the season, she realized how much profit she could rake in with those tickets. She ended up not going to a game the rest of the season and selling all the tickets.
Granted, she made almost 100% profit over the course of the year!
I also am a Cubs fan, and let's be honest, most people filling the Friendly Confines are tourists and out of towners. I hate the fact that so many people go to Wrigley "just for the experience." So I certainly do not want to cater to the tourist crowd.
What am I to do?
I love baseball more than anything, but making some extra cash this year is very appealing.
