After another embarrassing loss for Boston, falling 8-2 to the Toronto Maple Leafs, coach Claude Julien is searching for answers.

The shellacking wouldn't be so hard to swallow if only the Bruins hadn't fallen to the Washington Capitals 10-2 on Tuesday. It is not a happy time in the locker room these days, as Boston has been outscored 19-4 in its last three games.

Until Tuesday night, the Bruins were playing good hockey, good enough to earn them a six-game winning streak and a climb up the Eastern Conference charts, giving even the Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens brief pause to look back instead of forward.  There had even been discussion of awarding Julien, in his first year behind the bench of the Bruins, the Jack Adams Trophy.  

Julien refused to discuss that prior to the game against the Leafs, since the trophy apparently has a curse attached to it. Perhaps another lopsided loss will put the trophy talk on the back-burner and the Bruins can get back to playing hockey, allowing the curse to seek out another coach. 

Whatever has happened to this Bruins team, one thing is certain: It's losing confidence and that's a killer in the month of March. 

In the run for the Stanley Cup, now is the time for the bear to charge. Of course, all it takes is one bullet to bring it down and the Bruins have taken 19 bullets already.

The question is, how much more can they take?
