10 Philadelphia Eagles Experts to Follow on Twitter

0 of 10

In today’s ever-increasing world of instant news and social media, breaking news is no longer breaking news when it’s been out for 10 minutes or more.

    That’s called old news.

As a sports fan, you want to be sure to be up to date instantly with anything and everything surrounding your team. These following 10 users on Twitter are experts that you need to follow. They’re astute about the Eagles, providing you with what you need to know while adding in their own opinions.

Philadelphia Eagles

1 of 10

Of course you need to follow the Philadelphia Eagles’ own Twitter page. This is where you hear the news straight from the source itself—and you know it’s accurate because of who sent it. This was the first user I followed when I joined Twitter.

Eagles Insider

2 of 10

This one is the account of the Philadelphia Eagles’ writers. What I like about this is that it gives you stories you will want to read as a fan of the team—stuff like Demetress Bell being excited for his role as the starting left tackle in 2012, or Brandon Graham knowing he has something to prove.

Tim McManus

3 of 10

Tim McManus is an official reporter for the Philadelphia Eagles and a host on 97.5 The Fanatic.  I like Tim because he responds frequently to questions from fans and he’s a good, down-to-earth guy.

Eagles Buzz Tap

4 of 10

This is another great Philadelphia Eagles blog to follow, and I really don’t think you can follow too many of them. The Eagles Buzz Tap has over 20,000 followers and has sent over 55,000 tweets.

Reuben Frank

5 of 10

I’m a big fan of Reuben Frank. His tweets are informative and he loves numbers as much as I do. He is probably my favorite sportswriter that covers the Philadelphia Eagles.

CSN Philadelphia

6 of 10

This is the official account of CSNPhilly.com, and while it covers all four Philadelphia sports, you’re bound to get your steady supply of Eagles news. The website wrote a terrific article earlier today comparing the differences in the personalities between Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Nnamdi Asomugha.

Jeff McLane

7 of 10

Jeff McLane is one of the reporters for the sports section of The Philadelphia Inquirer, and I love following Jeff as well as guys like Reuben Frank and Les Bowen because it keeps me more than covered with everything I have to know. I also like when they live tweet during press conferences, keeping me updated with what Andy Reid is saying.

Les Bowen

8 of 10

Les Bowen is a reporter for the Philadelphia Daily News, and while he covers more sports than just the Eagles, he is a must-follow for Eagles fans looking to stay up to date. He has the best sense of humor among the group and I enjoy seeing him communicate with the other writers like Reuben Frank and Jeff McLane on Twitter.

Fran Duffy

9 of 10

What I like about Fran Duffy is that he is very opinionated, and even advertises in his Twitter page that his tweets are based on his opinion only, and not on what the Philadelphia Eagles as a team say.

Bryn Swartz

This is an award-winning journalist for the Rant Sports Network, and his coverage of the Philadelphia Eagles is phenomenal. He is extremely passionate and I haven’t met many writers that follow the sport as intently as Bryn Swartz.
