The Los Angeles Lakers are out of the NBA Playoffs. A lot of folks across the country are probably pretty excited about that. However, one person is definitely not. Bleacher Report’s Lance Fresh shares his thoughts and a few emotions as he looks back at the Lakers' playoff run. Suffice it to say, some folks would be out of a job if Lance were the GM in LA.
First things first—he says no blame should fall on Kobe Bryant. Kobe averaged 30 points per game and was a strong presence throughout the playoffs. Anyone who says he’s too old wasn’t paying attention. Throughout the regular season, he practically coached the team. Why not make it official? Lakers Coach Mike Brown looked lost on the sidelines (Lance offers a great impression of Brown in his rant video), and he was basically an assistant to Kobe. Why not make Kobe a player/coach?
Moving on, nothing but love for Metta World Peace (Ron Artest) and the effort he gave, though he might want to ease up on the elbow action. For those who don’t know, Metta was suspended for seven games for throwing an elbow into the side of James Harden’s head.
As for Andrew Bynum, well, he’s on his way out. In his absence, the Lakers should make a push for the Orlando Magic’s center Dwight Howard. He would be just the addition the team needs to get back to its winning ways.
