Free-agent pitcher Roy Oswalt is beginning to near his decision on where he will play in 2012.

The Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies and Texas Rangers have all been linked to the 34-year-old righty so far this season, and it seems he can now add another team to that list.

Baltimore currently sits at 28-17 and on top of the AL East by just one game over the Tampa Bay Rays. The O's arguably have been the biggest surprise of the 2012 season, and it seems like they're here to stay.

And, according to Orioles beat writer for Brittany Ghiroli, Baltimore general manager Dan Duquette was heard saying that he's "still actively seeking ways to upgrade and add pitching depth."

The addition of the former three-time All-Star Oswalt would really help to stabilize a very young rotation, and the team's commitment to the 2012 season would help to show fans that they're serious about winning.

We'll just have to wait and see how this story develops, but the Orioles could potentially be serious players in the Roy Oswalt sweepstakes.
