We have heard about it. We have read about it. And we have thought about it. Now, we know again and we see nothing different but the personification of the philosophy of The Economist.

Arshavin was available for nothing less than $20 million in summer, and he wanted him. But the price was to high to ask for the talent he wanted at Emirates.

As he always insisted - the right man at the right price and Arsenal would persist in their attempts to sign the wanted. I guess, the capture of the new 'Ars' tells us nothing new.

But Arsene has refreshed the code of running the club in the last five years and have stood by it. Every dog on the street has criticized him, but the man doesn't care. And he got what he wanted.

But the point I want to make is again on this philosophy. We didn't go for him in the summer. We faced the eternal injuries and we have lost out on league.

Moreover, he is cup-tied now. If this was Manchester United, they would have bought him easily. So, the highlight of the focus are the ways to achieve success.

No one wants imminent success at Arsenal. But is that worth it - to lose out on trophies all these seasons just because the football doesn't seem to work the way we believe it to be? And again, we have caps on salaries. So, we don't know if we will find the same team next season. So, it could be building the team again and again.

I am not here to write about how good Arshavin could be. I bet he would be. He could bring back the pace in counter-attack which Arsenal seemed to have lost in last few years.

God,

I know you are a gooner. So, at least, don't spell your cast to curse us with injuries next season.
