Marty Booker Returns to Chicago, but Offense Still Needs Help

After an interesting five days of free agency, the Bears have finally added some offense.

After being traded in 2004 for Adewale Ogunleye, recently-cut WR Marty Booker has signed a two-year deal with Chicago.

Booker is a former Pro-Bowl performer, and will try to bring some leadership to the younger receivers. Booker had 500-plus receiving yards and only one touchdown in 15 games, but he was on the Dolphins. He will surely be a main target since the Bears lost WR Bernard Berrian to the rival Vikings.

If the season started today, the Bears the Bears will have Booker, Bradley, and Hester as their main receivers. They will still have Grossman and Benson. Most importantly, they still have an aged O-line.

So far, it seems like Angelo isn't even trying to help Rex and Cedric.

He's lost the main receiver in Berrian and a great run blocker in Muhammad and the line can't protect Rex or block for Benson, but hopefully the line will be taken care of by the draft.

There are still a lot of question marks on the offensive side of the ball.
