Orlando Magic: Time To Panic?

Matt SheaCorrespondent IFebruary 3, 2009

Three words: Torn. Right. Labrum.

Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!

Orlando Magic point guard Jameer Nelson will be out for at least three weeks, and possibly up to two or three months.

The biggest question is whether or not reserve Anthony Johnson can step up and be the Magic's most productive bench to starter man. We will see.

Recall how people said the Lakers couldn't make the finals without Andrew Bynum and they did it. Now he's hurt again and people are once again doubting the Lakers' championship hopes. The same is being asked about the Magic.

I'm sure if Dwight Howard, Hedo Turkoglu, and Rashard Lewis step up and score 60-plus points a game, talk of the Magic's title chances will all end.

Myself and other Magic fans need to be happy to have someone with playoff experience as our starter.

I hope fans can see that Nelson turns the ball over twice a game as a starter and Anthony only turns it over 1.6 times as a starter.

I think we're OK for now.

Feedback will be appreciated.
