Best Replacements for Stan Van Gundy as Orlando Magic Head Coach

After spending five seasons coaching Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic, Stan Van Gundy has been fired as the head coach of the team. As reported by the team's official website, GM Otis Smith is leaving with him.

There are lots of intriguing options out there to fill the vacancy left by Van Gundy, but which ones should the team look at first?

The first and most important obstacle that the Magic will have overcome is finding a head coach who can thrive while putting Dwight out on the floor. As we learned throughout this past season, thanks to the infamous list and the awkward press conferences, D12 isn't exactly the easiest big man to coach, even if he is the most talented.

Finding someone who can make Howard into a great and mature player while improving the offensive style to utilize the versatility of Howard's supporting cast needs to be the goal.
